About
I started with photography in the late 1960's in my early teens. I borrowed my father's camera a Zeiss Icon NET as a startup. I also got to use his Super 8 camera and made some attempt to film. I brought with me the Super 8 camera on the first Interrail trip I did with my childhood friends. In the early 70's I bought my own camera camera and started photographing friends and family. This became serious and I had next to always the camera with me wherever I went. In the mid 70's I went a number of courses in photography and darkroom work and started developing my own photographs. What really made me interested was to process black and white photos. I was fascinated by the darkroom process and the magic of seeing that the photos came out of nowhere on photo paper. Later upgraded to a new system camera, a Pentax ME and a 200mm telephoto lens, and this became the start of my interest in nature photography.
